Bring Your Own Device. Keep What You Love.

Sage Wireless is BYOD for now—so you can switch in minutes using the phone you already have. Check compatibility, choose a plan, and keep your number if you want.

Switching Doesn't Require a New Phone

Most unlocked phones work great with Sage Wireless. If your current phone is in good shape, there's no reason to start over—just bring it with you and start saving.

Will Your Phone Work?

Enter your device's IMEI to check if it's compatible with Sage Wireless.

Don't know your IMEI? Dial *#06# on your phone, or find it in Settings > About Phone.

eSIM or Physical SIM—What's the Difference?

Both get you the same Sage Wireless service. The right option depends on your phone.

eSIM (digital SIM)

Best if you want speed

  • No shipping required (activate faster)
  • Great for newer phones and adding a second line

Physical SIM

Best if you prefer a card

  • Works with many unlocked phones
  • Simple swap-and-go setup

Not sure which you need? Use the compatibility checker.

Is Your Phone Unlocked? Here's How to Check.

An unlocked phone can be used on different carriers. If your phone is still locked to your current carrier, you may need to request an unlock before switching.

Quick ways to check:

iPhone

Settings → General → About → look for Carrier Lock
If it says "No SIM restrictions," you're unlocked.

Android

Settings → Connections/Network → SIM manager (varies by brand)
Or try inserting a SIM from another carrier to see if it works.

Still unsure? Run the compatibility checker or contact support.

Adding a Second Line is Easy

Want a second line for work, family, or a dedicated number? You can add a new line during checkout or start a second order anytime.

Good reasons to add a second line:

  • Work number separate from personal
  • Kids/teens line on a separate plan
  • Backup line for travel or business

Many newer phones support dual SIM (eSIM + physical SIM), so you can carry two numbers on one device.

Keep Your Number When You Switch

Most number transfers take minutes. Some can take longer depending on your current carrier.

If you want to keep your existing phone number, choose "Keep my number" during checkout and enter the info from your current carrier. We'll handle the transfer.

What you'll need to port your number:

  • Account number from your current carrier
  • Transfer PIN (or "Port-out PIN")
  • Billing ZIP code (or address, depending on carrier)
  • The phone number you're transferring

Important tip: Don't cancel your current service until your transfer is complete—your number needs to remain active to port.
