E911 / Emergency Services Disclosure
Important information about 911 and emergency calling with Sage Wireless.
Important: Please read this disclosure carefully regarding limitations of emergency calling services.
911 Emergency Calling
Sage Wireless service supports 911 emergency calling. When you dial 911 from your Sage Wireless device, your call will be routed to the appropriate local emergency services.
Location Information
When you call 911, location information from your device (if available) may be transmitted to emergency services. However, the accuracy of location information can vary based on:
- Your device's GPS capabilities
- Network coverage in your area
- Whether you are indoors or outdoors
- Local 911 center capabilities
Limitations
911 service may not function or may have limitations in certain situations:
- If there is no network coverage in your location
- During network outages or congestion
- If your device battery is depleted
- If service has been suspended due to non-payment
Wi-Fi Calling and 911
If you use Wi-Fi calling, 911 calls may be routed based on the registered address associated with your Wi-Fi calling feature. Ensure your address is current in your account settings.
What to Do in an Emergency
- Dial 911 and stay on the line
- Be prepared to provide your location and nature of emergency
- If possible, remain in one location until help arrives
- If you are disconnected, call 911 again
